We had the greatest time with the team from the mpg – Market Performance Group the past few months. They not only made a Platinum donation and two fantastic raffle baskets they also volunteered their time, skills and energy at our events. We started out with National Survivors Day at the One Love Cafe where we met Leigh Harminson the 10 Year survivor behind the drive to support our organization. She brought with her the founder of the Dowell group and the Give Back program Jerry Dowell. We presented the big pink check that day and had a fun time celebrating Survivorship with our survivor sisters. The bean bag toss quickly became a competition and we had a blast seeing who the best was. This also trickled into the next event in Middletown where Andrea took charge and had everyone trying their luck with tossing bean bags. The team that volunteered at the Columbia Car show tried to top her but fell a little short. Thanks to Leigh for taking charge and getting us moved closer to the action (and to give her team a fighting chance) we had a very successful day.
Our next event is on August 6, 2022 at the Sherman Creek Inn at the Roadhouse – Appalachian Harley in Mechanicsburg with them. Who will they bring for the Bean Bag toss challenge to top Andrea? This will be fun and a win-win for everyone involved. We will also be raffling baskets including the one put together by their team member Rachel.
