The Spotlight is shining on Jessie Rice!! She has volunteered the past three years with registration, raffles and event set-up. In addition, Jess is also responsible for delivering the fantastic Sheetz cookies from the Mount Joy Sheetz. These tasty treats are always a great hit and snatched up quickly.
Jess says “she enjoys being a part of the event and supporting our efforts” Jess has been known to make the raffle drawing fun, and interesting. Some raffles have been big hits while others maybe not so much. Nevertheless, Jess makes every raffle item seem like you just won the biggest prize. Also, when she actually wins one of the raffles she’s quite animated in her excitement. This keeps everyone involved and anticipating his or her chance to do the same thing. It is because of her enthusiasm and friendliness to everyone that participates that makes the raffles entertaining with lots of laughs.
We are very fortunate to have someone as special and dedicated to our organization. This woman’s commitment to our mission to raise funds to assist Breast Cancer Survivors brings more value than we can ever thank her. She handles any little mishap without missing a step. Since you know, there is always something that goes awry when dealing with over 100 raffles, door prizes and giveaways.
